Collection: Turkiye Postage Stamps

Turkiye, starting with the Ottoman Empire, began issuing postage stamps in 1863. The first stamps were issued by the Ottoman Empire and bore the cipher of Sultan Abdulaziz. The first illustrated stamp was issued in 1913, depicting Selimiye in Edirne. After the establishment of the Republic of Turkiye in 1922, the first stamp of the republic was issued in 1924, featuring Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Since then, Turkiye has continued to issue stamps.
