Collection: Lithuania Postage Stamps

Lithuania's postage stamp history began in 1918 with the first stamps, known as "Baltukai," issued in Vilnius. Between 1918 and 1940, the Republic of Lithuania issued 768 different designs, with over 2,000 variations due to errors, misprints, or perforations. The first airmail stamps were released in 1921. Central Lithuania, a short-lived state, also issued its own stamps, including surcharged stamps of Lithuania and definitive stamps featuring the region's coat of arms.
